  • Occasionally I tire myself out and beg (plead) for some clutch friends to cook for me.  If I were trapped on a deserted island, these would be the folks that I’d want with me crafting coconut ceviche out of the meager ingredients around us and nary a Viking range to help us.

    “I would like to share two recipes, my dad’s potstickers and a fancy, roast chicken dish. The potstickers are a great group cooking dish – my family would sit around and make potstickers all afternoon. When you finish filling a batch, you cook it, eat it, make some more, chit chat and on and on. The roast chicken is a better dish if you are looking to make something more elegant. It’s a classic dish, but shows many fundamentals of good cooking – high heat searing, knife skills, sauce making, etc.”
